| ADELLE ANDREW
#1 - 1120 May St. 388 6081 adelleandrew@shaw.ca |
|
Adelle Andrew is a professional artist living in Cook Street Village. She has developed a method of painting where she uses inks on acid free tissue and archival glassine papers. This is not a collage process as the entire painting is rendered to completion on individual sheets of these papers and then fused to canvas. This method of painting has revealed a diversity of expression which allows her to work on several series of paintings simultaneously. Currently she is working on four different series. Adelle constantly strives for greater enlightenment and understanding of the creative process within her paintings. She is an active member of the Canadian Federation of Artists and the Alberta Society of Artists and has exhibited extensively, Her art can be found in many corporate and private collections. In Victoria she is represented by the Fran Willis Gallery. |

I like to paint images of our west coast sea and landscapes. I use various acrylic media to create textures. My main intention is to create a painting that expresses a feeling or a mood, and has a sense of place. |
| LOIS DIMOFF Pentastic Studio 4-1421 Richardson St. dimoff@island.net |

Artistic expression has always been a part of Lois' life. For many years she was involved in community theatre where she was active in all aspects, from prop and set building to acting and musical direction. Now that she has returned to BC, her creative interests are centered around painting. Her earlier canvases were mostly of landscapes and still life. Recently, her explorations have moved toward the abstract. She loves responding to the push and pull of colour and of form as each painting evolves. She is a studio member of Xchanges Gallery and is part of Pentastic Studio. She takes workshops led by artists who inspire her, as well as courses at Vancouver Island School of Art. |
| BENTLEY GRIGG 34 Armine Place griggfamily@shaw.ca |
|
"Tactile" is the word most used to describe Bentley's work. There's something about it that just makes you want to touch it. He has coupled his sculpted,Venetian plaster medium with his Representational Abstraction style and applied that filter to many scenes close to home for this latest series. Most of the pictures depict a springtime theme. New beginnings, awakenings, blossomings- attributes of the season but also a portrayal of flourishing times within the cycles of our lives. |
