Sculpture on pile of broken asphalt - night.

Modeling lights of sufficient power and colour temperature are difficult to acquire for night photography. The evening of March 7, 2000 however handed me a "ready made".

A set of very strong construction floods had been left on at a road engineering site in the middle of down town Victoria. The opportunity was too good to resist. Although the light conditions were not ideal, I decided to go for it.

Sculpture on track of heavy equipment, street and worker in background.

Coincidentally, the illuminated window behind "Resucitar" is Victoria BC's West End Gallery.

The images below, document a continuation of the Broad Street Movable Monument Project taken the following day.

Close up of sculpture, building in background. Different view of sculpture on track of equipment.
The art gallery in the background is the Victoria branch of West End Galleries on Broad Street.

The engineering project is an upgrade to Broad Street from Eaton's Center to City Hall, March 2000,
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Sculpture on equipment, broken up street behind.
