We've Come A Long Way

Ink drawing of prisoner of war. Vietnam.
We've Come A Long Way: 1972.
Black pigment ink on unbleached paper towel;
7.75 x 9.0", u.s. dated Aug 24, 1972.
Drawn from an issue of Life Magazine covering the Vietnam War which published, I believe for the first time in North America, photographs of executions. The images reminded me of Goya"s etchings recounting the human suffering during the Spanish Napolean war.
