Enjoy the view of unspoiled forests across the bay. Bird watching is excellent on Thetis Island. From the sun deck, observe the eagles, the kingfishers, the hummingbirds and the herons. Go for a walk or bike ride on the shaded roads of Thetis Island. Explore the beaches at low tide, or go for a photo safari by boat.

Family Adventures10 minutes away

Thetis Island is one of the few places in BC where you can swim in the ocean. At Canoe Pass Cottage, you have a natural pool at your doorstep. At low tide, it turns into picturesque tidal flats that attract many birds. The waters and islands around Thetis Island are wonderful for kayaking and canoeing. There are many safe routes for those who want to try this sport. You'll see seals, sea otters, cormorants and even whales.
